Just like you, I want to make beautiful clothing with the minimum of things going wrong. However, the reality is very different for a sewist like me on a steep learning curve.

When starting a pattern, don’t you wish someone would say, “Ah, I’ve made one like that. I did this bit wrong and so I did this which worked really well, and if you try this instead of doing that it’ll turn out much better / easier / quicker / wearable"!

Well, that’s what I’m here for. I am sharing all my tips, fitting processes, near misses and mistakes in organised step-by-step tutorials so others can learn from them, avoiding the disappointment of a finished item that hardly gets worn and the frustration of feeling like all your time and effort didn't get you the result you hoped for.
